Minister of Liberation War Affairs AKM. Mozammel Huq said the government would preserve the historic sites of the Liberation War and the mass cemetery.

He said smart cards will be distributed to freedom fighters next month.

The minister also requested the concerned authorities to maintain the quality construction of “Beer Nibas” for the freedom fighters.

Jatiya Sangsad Whip Panchanan Biswas and Md Amirul Alam Milon MP addressed the event as special guests along with Deputy Commissioner of Khulna Md Moniruzzaman Talukder in the chair.

Also taking the floor while Muktijoddha Complex Project Manager Md Abdul Hakim delivered the welcome speech.

Later, the minister attended a virtual exchange of views meeting with the freedom fighters of Khulna Sadar, Dakop and Morelganj upazila in Bagerhat.
