The Tulare Historical Museum will exhibit the works of a local photographer

The Tulare Historical Museum will exhibit photographs by local artist Mike Green. His exhibition titled, Captured Images, will feature a variety of subjects including landscapes, portraits, animals, architecture, history and sports. The exhibition will run from July 14 to August 27, 2022, in the museum’s Heritage Art Gallery. An artists’ reception is scheduled for Friday, July 15 from 5 to 7 p.m.

After 41 years of teaching, Tulare local Mike Green decided to try his hand at photography. His new venture proved successful as his photographs were featured in a National Geographic book titled “Civil War”, he took first place in a Civil War Preservation Trust category, and also has many photographs of the statues of the Vicksburg Military Park to the book “The Art of Conservation”.

It also won Best Show at the Tulare County Fair. Green says he is extremely grateful to three people, “Carolyn, his wife, who supports [him], Brent Paull, his photography teacher, who showed him a lot; and John White, who was his wingman on many [his photography expeditions].”

This event is free and open to the public. For more information visit our website at
