An opening day in the Yankalilla area will feature demonstrations of how things were created in early settler times.
The Yankalilla District Historical Museum will hold an open day and the event will feature agricultural demonstrations highlighting the use of early methods including hay baling, rope making and blacksmithing.
There will also be an “Arsenic and old lace” exhibition which will be open all week, as well as spinning and weaving demonstrations.
There will also be historical videos and old tools. The seven sheds on display will illustrate the various facets of early settlement in the region.
For anyone in need of a quick refresher after all the fun, there will also be a coffee van at the museum for that welcome cuppa.
